Dolly privacy

The app stays on your Mac
Dolly is an offline macOS app. This public-preview version has no account, payment flow, automatic update checker, advertising, analytics, or automatic reporting to Endpaper Labs.
What Dolly reads and keeps locally
Dolly needs Accessibility permission to identify and arrange application windows. It can read window titles and positions while it does that. Its settings, saved layout session, and restore record stay in your Mac’s Application Support folder. Those local session, layout, and restore records can contain window titles.
Dolly also writes local diagnostic logs to help with troubleshooting. They remain on your Mac unless you decide to share them.
Permission scope
Dolly requests Accessibility access. It does not request Screen Recording or Input Monitoring. Its shortcuts and window controls respond to system hot keys, gestures, and mouse events; Dolly does not record keystrokes or capture the contents of your windows.
Support
If you contact us for help, you may choose to send logs or configuration files. Review them first: they may include information about your applications and windows. We use material you voluntarily send to understand and respond to your support request. Write to hello@endpaperlabs.com.
The Dolly website
This page and the download page are part of endpaperlabs.com. Their website analytics, server logs, and Google Fonts requests are described in the Endpaper Labs website privacy policy. Those website practices are separate from the offline Dolly app.
